Event:  Pray Through Poetry, Through the Bible
Date:  Thu, January 01, 2026 (Recurs Weekly)
Time:  24/7
Contact:  Debbie McIlrath
Details:  Poetryprayers.com is a combination devotional thought and "poetry prayer" for the day. My heart's desire is to share the Word of God with others... from Genesis to Revelation. We see families getting away from the enrichment of God's Word to follow their own wishful thinking (Jer. 23:25)! Today as in the days of Jeremiah, ministers are "stealing words from each other and saying they are from Me" (Jer. 23:30-31, 2 Cor. 11:13, Mt. 7:15). In reading through Grace for the Moment Daily Bible, I often refer to the devotionals included by Max Lucado, being diligent to cite him or others within my writings or at the end of a poem or devotional paragraph should I use their thoughts or words. This special "Read through the Bible in a year" has an easy short daily reading format. The editors compiled a couple of chapters or verses from the Old Testament, Psalms, Proverbs and the New Testament for each day's readings which also short with devotional paragraph by Max Lucado. There is no getting stuck in Levitical Law for a month reading through the Bible the old way. Having tried over the years to read the Bible straight through, I found it sections of it put me to sleep! With Grace for the Moment Daily Bible's diversity of chapters and verses, something will always pop off the page and spark the start of each day. I pray you are reading through the Bible with me, and God is challenging your heart each day, as He does mine, to walk in the beauty of holiness. Grace and peace be with you, and may the glory that comes from the Grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ bring forth fruit in and through us.
